Estonia Concert Hall
This is Tallinn’s main venue for classical music, and features symphony orchestras, opera, choirs, early music ensembles, solo recitals, and much more. All of the most prestigious Estonian classical music groups perform here, and there are many perfomances by world-reknowned foreign ensembles every month. A detailed agenda can be found at the concert hall website.
Estonian National Opera
This opera house is something of a national treasure, as it is a splendid, landmark building that presents a top-notch series of concerts every year. It was built in 1913 and features a sumptuous hall that seats 700, recently restored and improved. Each opera season features many classics, but there are often some contemporary operas to spice things up as well. In addition to opera, many ballet performances are held here.

Linnahall
This is an enormous pop venue located at the harbour in a big, drab gray building. Pop, rock, punk and metal are the main styles of music performed here, most often by local artists. Big international names do come through occasionally, however. Linnahall fills up with everyone from teeny boppers to middle-aged couples letting off steam after work.
Café Amigo
This hip club is located in a hotel and draws a diverse crowd, including locals, tourists, students and businessmen. Every night of the week some of the best blues and rock bands in Estonia perform here, usually until late into the night. Before the bands begin playing, DJs provide the music, and people often start dancing. The atmosphere here is fun and carefree, yet also more wholesome than the average Tallinn club.
Entrance prices: 60 - 100 kr, students free Sun - Tues
House of the Brotherhood of the Blackheads
This 15th century building used to be a guild hall, and is now used for classical music concerts. Performances range from Renaissance motets to contemporary chamber music, but most often feature early music or fairly well-known repertoire. The box office always opens up one hour before the start of the show.
