Golden Dragon
This is without a doubt the best Chinese restaurant in Tallinn. Now well-established and with a devoted local clientele, Golden Dragon has a diverse menu and serves very generous portions of excellently-prepared food. They have all the traditional Chinese dishes on offer, made from chicken, pork, beef, seafood and vegetables, and the spring rolls are particularly good. The staff is friendly, but the service does get very slow when the place is full. Prices for main courses start at 110 kr.
Peking
One of the oldest ethnic restaurants in Tallinn, Peking is in many ways a typical Chinese restaurant, but has a much more interesting menu than the average take-away. The specialty here is seafood dishes, of both traditional and exotic varieties. Featured main courses include shark in coconut sauce, marlin with mango, and king prawns in peanut butter. There is also an aphrodisiac section on the menu, with dishes such as fried bull eggs with a special sauce. If you fancy a more traditional meal, however, you will find Peking duck and all the usual sweet and sour dishes, etc. on the menu as well.
China Inn
This restaurant is more expensive than the other Chinese establishments in the city, but the food really is first rate, and it is conveniently located right in the middle of the Old Town. All the dishes are made from traditional recipes, and feature very tasty sauces and vegetables cooked to perfection. China Inn is situated in a cozy cellar and has a friendly atmosphere, and attracts a nice mix of tourists and locals.
