Public transport
Buses, trolleys and trams operate regularly between 6 am and 11 pm. You can buy tickets from newsstands or from drivers. Tallinn Card holders may use unlimited public transportation free.
Tallinn
By bus
The bus network covers the whole city from southeast to northwest. A one-time ticket from newsstands costs 10 EEK (or 15 EEK from the driver). Tickets have to be punched right after entering.
Tallinn
By tram
There are four tram lines which all meet at the Viru Center, at stop Hobujaama. About 15 of the tram vehicles in use have a lowered middle-section, which makes them wheelchair-accessible. Tickets are also 10 or 15 EEK, depending if you get them in advance or on the tram.
Tallinn
Taxis
If possible, always order a taxi by phone and don't, for example, use the ones waiting at the Tallinn Port taxi stop. They are known as "the sleeve-taxis" because they usually have exorbitant prices and the taximeter seems to go a bit faster than normal.
