Lucent Danstheater
This theatre is primarily dedicated to dance, and is home to two different dance companies. Nederlands Dans Theater II showcases young up-and-coming dancers at the start of their careers, and Nederlands Dans Theater I features the very best, experienced dancers. There is a busy agenda of dance performances at the theatre by both local and international groups, covering a wide range of dance genres. The main theatre is also used for opera, and in addition to this space there is a hall dedicated to music, the Dr Anton Philipszaal, where all kinds of concerts take place.
Stardust Theatre
This theatre features a broad range of theatrical performances and is known for its excellent dance, musicals and comedy shows. The dance groups that perform here are top-notch and come from all over the world, doing classical, ethnic, and contemporary dance as well as other styles. Dance companies who have performed here recently include The London Royal Ballet, Alvin Ailey Dance Company, the Boshoi Ballet, and the National Ballet of Cuba.

Koninklijke Schouwburg
This opulent “royal theatre” was originally built as a palace for Prince Karel Christiaan van Nassau Weilburg, but has was made into a theatre in 1804. The building is a beautiful and ornate 18th century structure, and the theatre is fairly intimate with none of the seats being too far away from the stage. The performances here include a wide range of plays, operas and dance performances, primarily ballet and contemporary. There is also a café in the theatre, which is a popular place to stop for a pre-show drink or snack.
