Winkel van Sinkel
Located in a landmark building, Winkel van Sinkel is a restaurant by day and a club and music venue by night. There is also a “night restaurant” within serving tapas until late every evening, and the nightclub opens on weekends. The atmopshere is fun, lively and varied, with music ranging from disco to lounge, and lots of people eager to dance in the spacious and ornate hall.

Cityhall/Arena
A unique club located in the medieval cellars under the city hall, Arena is a massive club with various rooms, and can accomodate 1000 people when all of them are open. It is a very popular place to come on Saturday night, the only night it is open, and usually features hip R&B dance parties.
enSuite
This is one of the best gay nightclubs in Utrecht and is very popular with students as well as an older crowd. It has a fun, relaxed atmosphere with great drinks and upbeat music. The first Sunday of every month enSuite organizes a special party in another nightclub called Monza, located right in the centre next to the Neude square. This is one of the major regular gay events, and the club has two dancefloors, a balcony, and a lounge, and features performances by singers, dancers, actors and others.
Woolloomooloo
One of the most popular student discos in the city, Woolloomooloo is a hip, lively place to dance the night away and let your hair down. The DJs play the latest hits and a mix of pop, metal, hip hop and oldies. The atmosphere is young and carefree and the drinks are reasonably priced.
SJU
This jazz club is located in a cellar and is is a classic dive yet one of the best and most well-known jazz venues in this region of the Netherlands. Every year more than 200 jazz concerts are held here, from classic bop to fusion and contemporary jazz. People come here for the quality of the music and take it in stride that the quality of the service and the ambiance leaves something to be desired. Entrance is free except for Friday night after 11.30, when you have to pay € 4 because it is the special dance night.
