Café Jamaica
A cheerful café in the Old Quarter, Café Jamaica is the place to come for a tasty brew. They specialize in all kinds of coffee, offering varieties from all over the world, each with its own distinct flavour. They serve tea and snacks as well, mainly pastries and sandwiches. They open very early in the morning, when the place is bustling with people on their way to work.

Café de las Horas
This café is located just off the Plaza de la Verge in the Old Quarter. It’s a cozy little establishment, slighly kitchy with its Baroque-style décor, but with a friendly staff and a relaxed atmosphere. There are chandeliers and velvet drapes for a dramatic effect, which also ensure that the place stays nice and warm in the winter. You can drink a variety of teas, coffees, wines, and more, and order light food. The café stays open very late on the weekends.

Café Lisboa
A popular and artsy café, the Lisboa is located in a very beautiful part of the city. It looks out over the scenic Plaza Dr Collado and has an ancient olive tree in the garden. They serve all kinds of drinks, as well as tasty sandwiches, salads, and soups, and in the evenings they feature a variety of cocktails.

Le Edad de Oro
A unique café that also houses art exhibitions and special events, La Edad de Oro is always an interesting place to hang out. They specialize in tapas and also serve sandwiches. You can drink all the usual things, and they feature some good Spanish wines and beers. Their terrace is a lovely and relaxing place to sit in the summer, and the indoors is always cozy. There is usually some sort of art exhibition indoors, which changes frequently.

Lounge Café Bar
This is a very pleasant café-bar in the Carme district that serves a nice variety of food. The menu is very vegetarian-friendly, with lots of veggie snacks, pasta salads, and good hummus with pita. The café is very comfortable, with couches and little tables and lots of light. They also have internet access and a public computer, as well as wireless for laptap users.

Café Infanta
A unique and rather eccentric bar, the Café Infanta is located in the old town centre of Valencia. The crowd is very mixed, from students to middle aged couples, and the atmosphere is friendly and down-to-earth. There is a wide variety of drinks on offer, including some quirky specialties such a house vodka-based cocktail, and some whisky and gin mixes. The décor is very simple, with bare brick walls and functional yet comfortable furniture. The bar also houses an antiques auction every Wednesday.

Fox Congo
A tropical-themed bar in the heart of Carmen, the Fox Congo is a very hip place to hang out. Known as one of the best bars in the city, it offers great drinks in a sophisticated atmosphere. They put a lot of effort into the décor, with tropical plants, unusual lighting effects, and interesting decorations on the walls. The bar made out of onyx is also striking, and the numerous leather couches are extremely comfortable. The drinks are reasonably priced, ranging from € 4 - 7.

Rocafull Café
This is a popular student bar with a DJ that has a young and festive atmosphere. The barman is well-known as a local character, and the crowd is usually full of colourful and interesting people. There is a very wide range of beers, both European and imported. The bar is open all day, but gets most busy around midnight. Wednesday nights have the special offer of two pints for the price of one.

Café del Negrito
Located on a little square just off the Calle Cabelleros, this bar is one of the best places to drink in the old town. When the weather is warm, visitors can sit on the large outdoor terrace on the plaza, a great place to people watch adnd soak up the Valencia atmosphere. The music in the bar varies, but is usually upbeat pop or flamenco. The drinks are low-priced, with a beers at € 2 and a vodka and mixer at € 3.50.

Café Bolseria
This bar is hard to miss, located right in the middle of the old quarter and lit up with purple lights. It is on the Plaza de Tossal, a popular nightlife destination with several bars and late-night restaurants. The Café Bolseria is quite a stylish bar, where the clientele dresses to be seen and the décor is sleek and elegant. The drinks are on the pricey side, with beers at € 4 and cocktails at € 8.

Radio City
