Ca'' Sento
Considered by the gourmands to be Valencia’s top restaurant, Ca’ Sento offers the best seafood in the city. The food is delicious and expertly prepared, featuring daily seafood specials, seafood stews, suckling lamb with parsnip cream, rhubarb crepes. The menu is a mix of traditional Spanish dishes and more creative modern dishes invented by the chefs. It is expensive, but a one-of-a-kind restaurant.
Albacar
This restaurant is named after the owner and head chef, Tito Albacar. He runs the restaurant with his brother, who is the wine expert. The menu features refined and innovative Spanish food, as Albacar is constantly trying to update Valencian cuisine and make the traditional dishes his own. Specialties include curry crawfish salad, hot foie-gras with young pigeon and French beans, and for dessert, coffee parfait with rhum. Prices are high.
La Riua
This restaurant specializes in Valencian rice dishes, but unlike others, does not limit itself to paella. It is one of the best places in the city to try many variations of the famous paella, but also offers fideua, a similar dish that uses noodles instead of rice, and many fresh fish dishes cooked with garlic and pepper.

Villaplana
A large, down-to-earth cervecería, Villaplana is a very popular restaurant with the locals. Many families come here to eat, as well as occasional large groups, so expect it to be noisy and lively. There is a set menu for groups that costs € 18 per person, as well as an à la carte menu. Portions are generous, the food is good, and the staff is patient and efficient.
Rías Gallegas
This is one of the oldest restaurants in Valencia and has long been a favourite with locals and tourists alike. The fish and produce is extremely fresh, coming from Galicia and the Valencian coast. The seafood is excellent, prepared baked or fried with oil and vegetables, and added to rice and pasta dishes. There are also many delicious seafood appetizers.
