Harry’s Bar
Harry’s bar is probably the most famous bar in Venice. It was opened by Giuseppe Cipriani in 1931 and this is the place that invented both the Belini (fresh peach juice and sparkling wine) and Carpaccio.
The décor is very simple and plain, but the drinks and food are delicious and the service is excellent. Prices are relatively high.
Il Caffe
Il Caffe is also known as Caffe Rosso as to its bright red exterior. It serves a very strong Spritz (a Venetian aperitif of white wine, campari, soda and a lemon twist), fairly priced whiskeys and wine. The atmosphere is pretty friendly and easy going and the crowd is mostly students, artists and bohemian types.
Opening times:

Bacaro Jazz
Bacaro Jazz is a small and laid back bar that also serves good food. It is located on the San Marco side of the Rialto River. Happy hour is between 2 pm – 7.30 pm when you can get a wide variety of drinks, from beer to Sangria and delicious Margaritas for a reasonable price. Don’t let the name of the place mislead you, there are no live jazz music performances over here, but the music is played at the background. The atmosphere is relaxed and the staff is extremely friendly.
