Warsaw is absolutely full of cafés and bars, and new ones are springing up all the time. The centre has the highest concentration of good drinking establishments in the city, and no matter where you are in the old or new town, you will find several cafés and bars within easy walking distance. Many cafés have nice lunch and/or dinner menus, and even if they don’t serve real meals, they are bound to have some tasty snacks and desserts. Poland is famous for its delicious chocolate desserts as well as many other forms of pastries, and there is usually a wonderful assortment served in cafés. The country is also known for its excellent local vodkas and beers, which are featured in most Warsaw pubs. There are also wine bars, cocktail lounges, Irish pubs, American-style bars, and more. The old town is the best place to go for traditional cafés and bars, and the Praga district is also an ideal area in which to go bar-hopping, full of many clubs as well.
