Café Blikle
A charming, old-fashioned café, Blikle has been around since 1869 and is known throughout Poland for its cakes, which are the best in Warsaw. It’s decorated in Viennese style and has long wooden tables, elegant furnishings, and high ceilings. In addition to cakes they also serve many other desserts, including some excellent homemade ice cream, and there is a breakfast and lunch menu as well. The coffee and tea here is very good, with many different varieties to choose from.

Another café that’s been around for more than a hundred years, Nowy Swiat was opened in 1883, though its interior has recently been modernized.
