Warsaw is a great city to shop in, and it has seen a real explosion of interesting and international stores opening up in the last couple of decades, after the end of the Communist days. Now not only can you find unique, high class Polish shops, down-to-earth markets, and practical department stores, but also nearly all the major European chain stores and brands are represented, from Zara to Marks & Spencer. One of the most beautiful streets to shop on is the Nowy Swiat, running between the Royal Castle and the summer royal residence, and is home to the city’s most exclusive boutiques. There are many other excellent locations to shop in, such as ul. Mokotowska and al. Jerozolimskie, where you can find good quality clothes at very reasonable prices. One of the most charming aspects of shopping in Warsaw is exploring the one-of-a-kind little shops tucked into the nooks, crannies and backstreets of the Old Town.
