When you arrive at the Casa de Carmona, you sense that life has suddenly become much easier. You can stop worrying about your car and luggage: the porter will park your car and the concierge will immediately take your bags to your room. One of our charming receptionists will meet you at the door to show you around the house. As she accompanies you to your room, she'll show you through the courtyards and gardens, take you through the library and offer you a complimentary drink from the free-bar. She will ask if you would like a chambermaid to unpack your bags and take any laundry you may have, and tell you that you may leave your shoes outside your door at night to find them awaiting you in the morning - freshly polished and ready for the day. As well as everything you expect in a luxury hotel, in your room you´ll also find a variety of books and magazines to read, a VCR and music system to play any of the hundreds of films and CDs that we have for our guests to enjoy. Upon leaving, your hostess will give you a card with her name so you feel more confident to ask for anything else that you may need. The Restoration: The palace was bought by Doña Marta Medina in September 1986, who planned, financed and directed the entire restoration from ruin, starting in 1986 to a luxury hotel of 30 rooms, ending in March 1991. No expense was spared to result in a grandeur probably more luxurious than it originally was when first built. The restoration has preserved all of the palace’s original spaces and details, most dating from the sixteenth century, while incorporating modern comforts in an unobtrusive way. Air conditioning was installed above the mouldings so that it is not seen. The Decoration: Since the layout is from the renaissance, with moorish influence, the rooms all l
