If you are reading this it means that you are, either in our house, or you are planning to visit us. In any case I think you should know who HE was. Trying to understand a character like him (I think) should be done by parts (stage by stage). Manuel Serrapi Sánchez, was born June 11th of 1904, on Argüelles Street, next to Plaza de San Pedro, in the city centre of Sevilla very close to what years later became his house (Almudena, 5). Perhaps this is the most unknown and eclipsed part of an artist’s life although for the artist it’s an essential part. He made the most out of his life, and we don’t mean this in a bad way or as a criticism, he was in love with life, he enjoyed it and everything that life gave him such as bullfighting, wine, women and flamenco. Almudena 5: "Two story house with coat of arms over the lintel (threshold)" To this short description we can add that we find ourselves in front of a building with two clear stages: The first stage (Main and First), belong to the late XIX, and the structure still uses wood. The second stage (Second and Roof) were built in 1919 when the house belonged already to Niño Ricardo. The verbal tradition tells us that this house and its twin (Nº 3) were built by a noble as a gift to the two sons he had out of wedlock, because in Andalucia people gossip a lot. In the year 2000 the remodelling and the change to its actual purpose began, although to tell the truth we didn’t need to change the structure because as an old neighbourhood patio-house it adapted perfectly to the new needs. The main idea during the 12 months of renovations was that of maintaining the idiosyncrasy of the construction of those times, without loosing a bit of the spirit of the original house. The Façade has been remodelled without “breaking” the original style. The Colours are yellow (albero) and earth red. The balconies are covered with geraniums, typical of this city. To the right of the main entrance wooden door there is
