The mansion that forms the nucleus of the Tsitouras Collection was built in 1780. Over the centuries, it has served as a school, post office, and private home, and is now an exclusive hotel. It was renovated in 1985 by the famous collector Dimitris Tsitouras, who converted it into five units, each with a separate theme and name, all demonstrating his personal style and respect for the Greek tradition and the needs of modern travellers alike. These suites have a capacity of between two and five persons each, and are named after the unique collection in each one: The House of the Sea, the House of the Winds, the House of Portraits, the House of Porcelain, and the House of Nureyev. Features such as the domes, vaults, interior windows and skylights characteristic of Santorinian architecture are combined with tasteful decoration, modern furniture, antiques and some of Tsitouras’s private collections of objets d’art including ancient amphorae, Byzantine icons, old maps, mariner’s chests, paintings, etc. Each House has its own complementary wet bar and CD player with a special CD collection, satellite TV and DVD, direct dial phone and safety deposit boxes. All bathrooms are in Greek white marble and fully equipped (hairdryers, bathrobes, slippers, etc.). The hotel is famous for its quiet surroundings in harmony with nature. Guests love to gaze at the view and especially to watch the spectacular sunsets from our terrace, accompanied by the silhouette of Maria Callas. Some of our most famous guests: Gianni Versace, Moschino, Joan Kennedy, Jack Lang, Demis Roussos, Harvey Keitel, Nana Mouskouri, Jean Paul Gaultier and others. Down the path a way is the Tsitouras Collection Villa, for the ultimate private holiday, with a private pool and a capacity of six persons. Built in 2001, the TC Villa is the last word in luxurious comfort and equipment, in harmonious co-existence with unique art objects dating to the 16th century. An a-la-carte breakfast i
