Podere Castellare is a traditional Tuscan farmhouse, situated 20 km from Florence near the national Park of Vallombrosa, the property is part of the Chianti area and extends for 35 hectares. Immersed amongst olive groves, vineyards and cypress trees offering stunning views and tranquillity. Podere Castellare has been transformed using a total ecological concept into a delightful sort of hotel in the countryside. The reception is selling our own products such as biological extravirgin olive oil, soaps and Tuscan specialities from the area. The common living area consist of a nice sitting room with sofas and armchairs, bookcase and little tables. Furnished to a high standard. There are extensive gardens and terraces to relax, a swimming-pool (15 m) with sun armchairs, tables and sun umbrellas. Changing room facilities and a small bar service. There are also a tennis court and a 5 aside football pitch, a small gym and health centre with sauna, Jacuzzi and Turkish bath. Massages on request. The restaurant serves traditional homemade Tuscan dishes and vegetarian dishes prepared by our cook Lorena. We are personally concerned with the well – being of our guests and do all we can to make their stay as comfortable as possible. Our guests always appreciate our countryside, our traditional cuisine, our excellent selections of wines and meticulous service. Every morning we will greet you with an inviting buffet breakfast on the terrace, with fresh fruit, homemade cakes, yogurt and other tasty things.
