|
Climbing to Pico Duarte the highest peak in Caribbean. After arriving at Rancho Wendy there is time to get acquainted with the area. Dinner and bon fire, swimming in the sweet freshwater stream or at the pool, most rooms are facing the stream. Breakfast in the morning, and off to the foot of the trail to Pico Duarte, the highest peak in the Caribbean (~10000 ft.). Get acquainted with your guides and then do the first steps in direction Pico Duarte. Later camping on the mountain with evening meals.
At the end of the hike there is an all out party with music, dancing and fun at the ranger station where you sleep. Next morning pickup at ranger station and back to Rancho Wendy.
All meals, guides, mules, ambulance, tents, all fees to the park and transportation will be provided. Just bring sleeping bags and a first aid kit.
