Don´t forget that La Orotava is an ideal place for hikers to start off from, not only for its historical interest, but for its many rambling routes in the same and surrounding areas. For example, The Teide National Park, or La Caldera, a recreational area for barbecues and picnics, rambling, cycling or simply enjoying the peace and quiet of the mountains and its forests away from the hustle and bustle of every day life. Other rambling routes are for example Playa El Bollullo, Los Patos (naturalist/nudist) and El Alcòn beaches, walks which can be enjoyed all year round whatever the season amongst many others. Tenerife has an excellent bus service too and there a bus station only 4 minute walk away from our hotel. It''s only half an hour by bus to La Laguna (National Heritage Centre) and thirty minutes to El Tanque.
La Orotava, La Laguna and El Tanque are the three places with the most hiking routes.
