 | The percentage of Low Cost airlines rises to ¼ |

The advance of low cost airlines is barely stoppable. This results from a research of the German Air traffic control (DFS) in Langen. In Germany their share rose to 22% which leaves Germany on the third place after Great Britain at the top with nearly every third flight being ascribed to low cost airlines. Also in France, Luxemburg, Belgium, Ireland and Spain the share of the low cots airlines lies above the European average percentage of 18 %. Since 2001 the number of low cost flights has quintupled in Germany and in 2007 every day about 280 flights of low cots airlines left a German airport.
