            | | New SWISS flights |
                    | | Since the end of March 2008 SWISS International Airlines are approaching the three destinations St. Petersburg, Sofia and Florence. Flights from Basel also go to Belgrade and the airport in Geneva also handles flights to Bucharest and Istanbul. St. Petersburg is beside Moscow the second Russian city SWISS is having in the routes network. Daily flights from Zurich and five Lufthansa flights from Frankfurt and Munich enlarge the possibilities for business travellers and tourism. Since St. Petersburg has gained a good reputation as a holiday and business destination, the provided offer is positive for all those travelling from Switzerland to Russia and visa versa.
Also Florence as an important tourist destination will profit from the new connection as well as Sofia, which hosts many Swiss companies and enjoys an above average growth in its economy.
Apart from the regular flights to these three new destinations, SWISS offers a summer programme in which flights are going to Faro, Portugal and Las Palmas, Spain.
