 | Tobook goes multilingual |
 |
After an unexpected long time of preparation, Tobook has finally introduced a multilingual service on its website. Since May 2008 visitors are served in 8 additional languages, namely, French, German, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, Turkish, Dutch and Hungarian. So far this step has been a full success and if necessary Tobook plans the introduction of more languages in order to serve a wider spectrum of its traveling visitors. Unfortunately, one segment of the site could not yet be completed but thanks to the intensive commitment of the technical department, Tobook will be able to present the very segment by the end of June 2008.
Initially, the multilingualism was only used for Tobook’s booking pages since registered hotels used the company’s booking technology on their own websites. Based on this fact and the expectation of a higher market share in local markets and feedback from local users as well as the necessity of upgrading technical services, Tobook decided to extend the multilingual service to the whole content of the website.
Gaining the trust of local non-English speaking travelers will eventually be a benefit to all other users. Making a reservation in ones own language prevents guest from disappointment and difficulties in the reservation process. Therefore Tobook will continue to upgrade its services and be competitive.
All new developments will be announced in the Newsletter section of Tobook which is accessible through the bottom menu of the website.
