The Roselló family has been in residence at Son Siurana for over 200 years and the latest two generations have given the estate a new lease of life as a luxurious rural retreat. Although you are close to Pollensa Port and Alcudia, the mansion house is deeply rural, surrounded by more than 100 hectares of fig and almond groves and sheep-grazed pastures. The main house is a long, low and graceful stone building with doors and windows highlighted by lighter-coloured marés surrounds. Life in summer centres around a large terrace with woodburning stove which looks onto a pool sculpted in among the rocks. Beyond, the estate has ancient pines, lakes and a vegetable and herb garden which supplies Siurana’s kitchen: guests can pick their favourite vegetables. You stay in one of eight stylish self-catering cottages which have been slotted into the farm’s outbuildings. The beautiful rooms have hand-painted tiles, terracotta or wooden floors, good modern furniture and antiques - perfect for the design mag photographers who have flocked to write about the place. Breakfast is served in the main house, on the terrace or in your cottage..
