Villa Le Maschere, majestic construction iconographic testified since 1585, immersed in the tranquility of its 18 hectares secular park , realized under the project of Giuseppe Poggi, the same who designed in Florence Viali dei Colli and Piazzale Michelangelo. The panoramic position with a 360° view over the Bilancino lake and the sweet Hills of Mugello with vineyards, olive groves, chestnuts and oaks forests, completes a really magic and privileged frame. There are recognizable two distinct facades : the first dated second half of the sixteenth Century , and the second goes back to the end of 1600, work of Maestro Giovan Battista Foggini. Inside innumerable works of art from which the unbelievable majolica from Tito And Galileo Chini. Names of high nobility used to live, or to be hosts in the Villa, from whom Marchesi Gerini, Caterina de’ Medici, Antinori, Della Gherardesca, Borghese, Torlonia and several others. And it is wonderful to see their heraldic bearings finely restored in the impressive Honour Court, now luminous and elegant entrance hall. From the late fifties the slow and sad decline and the Villa, not inhabited anymore. Since year 2003 and just finished, recover works and wonderful restoration have returned to this incredible Villa a refined beauty, scrupulous and delicate at the same time, that we want to share between all our resident Guests and Visitors using our Event rooms. We are a 5 stars Resort with rooms and suites of unique beauty and comfort, a typical Italian and regional Cuisine created everyday with the more tasty products of the season and superb wines, A big park with botanical circuits and relaxation islands where to stroll or immerse oneself in reading your favourite book.
