Gstaad has long been a renowned sport and holiday centre where numerous celebrities from the worlds of show business and finance have felt at home. By the same token, Gstaad has always understood how to retain that special charm of a Berner Oberland village and still has some of Switzerland’s most beautiful and lovely chalets. Gstaad, encircled by the Bernese Alps, is famous for its spectacular scenery and its international events like Menuhin Festival, ATP tennis tournament, Polo Silver Cup and golf tournaments. Set amidst a manicured park high above Gstaad, the Grand Hotel Park offers a unique view of the majestic Bernese Alps. The property has a unique atmosphere, combining luxury and refinement, well being and savoir-vivre and is within 5 minutes of walking distance from Gstaad village. The Grand Hotel Park, Gstaad is located only 2 hours from Geneva airport and 2 hours and 30 minutes from Zurich or Basel. Transfers can be organized by ourselves, with private limousines, coaches or private jet or helicopter. For his 100th anniversary in 2010, the Grand Hotel Park is offering itself a rejuvenating cure and will therefore undergo some renovations. Thereafter, its guests will be welcomed to its new contemporary design, harmonizing traditional chalet-style with state-of-the-art elegancy. Due to this large renovation program, the hotel will remain closed from mid-march until mid-december 2010. With respect for nature, tradition and sustainability, the choice of the necessary materials will be of high importance. Rooms, Suites and the new created Imperial Suites (approximate size between 120m2 and 400m2) will become a good combination between contemporary and traditional style of the nearby luxurious chalets. The materials used will be wood, natural stone, and fabrics and cloths will be replaced with natural wool. We will follow the same guidelines of decoration on the rest of the building like the restaurants and bars, the lobby and all the other publ
