Hotel Quinta Splendida Botanical Garden & Spa

The Hotel Quinta Splendida Wellness & Botanical Garden is located in Caniço on the Island of Madeira. Every visitor is delighted by our four star Hotel. The estate is set in 30.000 square meters of landscaped botanical gardens with over 1.000 species of different plants, tempting the guests to take a walk and relax. The main building is a restored 19th century Manor House, rich in antiquities and paintings. There are a total of 166 rooms with five different accommodation types including 25 SPA suites. The accommodation is situated in spacious cottages around the gardens and the pool. From the outdoor pool, you can enjoy fantastic views across the Atlantic to the nearby nature reserve Ilhas Desertas. Madeira has two Golf courses on offer, Santo da Serra and Palheiro Golf. They are both within short driving distance from our hotel. Other sporting activities are also on offer, such as scuba diving, para sailing, levada walks and trekking. In addition, the hotel offers complimentary services, such as a regular shuttle bus service to Funchal and a guided tour of our botanical gardens. The gourmet restaurant “La Perla” is located in the Manor House and has recently been distinguished as one of the best Restaurants in Portugal by the Portuguese Academy of Gastronomy. Our goal is “To provide visitors to Hotel Quinta Splendida Wellness & Botanical Garden with learning experiences, accommodation and enjoyment, nourishing mind, body and soul as only nature can do”. Access to our spa to all customers who have not booked suites is possible when paying a fee which will be informed locally. The children policy remains, meaning that no children under 16 years old are not allowed in the spa. The indoor pool belongs to the spa facilities therefore a fee is applicable.
