Hotel Rural Solar dos Marcos is an historic palace that has been reconstructed from an old episcopal residence (18th century), located in the village of Bemposta, where D. Manuel Martins Manso, Bishop of Guarda, was born in and lived in. The Bishop Martins-Manso will have added the chapel to the original building, in honour of the Holy Mary, in the second half of 18th century. Solar dos Marcos is a classified 4-star Real Inn (inn) with 8 double rooms (1 room adapted for handicapped persons), 1 suite, 1 extensible restaurant only with pré-reservation, 1 bar, 1 multi-functional hall with 40 places, a private covered garage for 10 cars, a private chapel and garden with a swimming pool.
