Aquae Flaviae was one of the most important peninsular cities of Roman Empire. It was built next to thermal springs and own his development to this fact. Chaves is, in that way, a thermal city, rich in historic and architectonic heritage: the Roman Bridge, the Castle, the Forts, the medieval zone, the Churches of all styles and ages, the museums...
